With the increasing demand for fire protection of critical assets, assessing the risk from fire, providing the correct system to meet the customer’s protection requirements requires experience and knowledge. Trojan Fire Security Limited has developed the expertise to undertake all types of projects for the provision and installation of fire suppression systems as specialist providers.
FIRE PRO SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
We refer to the site visit at Wilson airport and we recommend a condensed aerosol fire pro suppression system for the server
room as follows: –
Major Characteristics/Properties
➢ FirePro condensed aerosol fire extinguishing units are non-pressurized stand-alone units containing the fire
extinguishing condensed aerosol forming solid chemical compound FPC, various metal components and high purity
ceramic based cooling material.
➢ It is stable and non-pyrotechnic
Highly efficient
Highly effective
Environment friendly
Non-corrosive
Non-toxic
Performance:
➢ Upon activation, the FPC solid compound is transformed into a rapidly expanding highly efficient and highly effective
fire extinguishing condensed aerosol that is autonomously distributed evenly in the protected enclosure using the
momentum generated during the transformation process.
➢ The solid particles of aerosol forming compound have a diameter of less than five microns and remain in suspension
in the protected room/enclosure for at least 30mins.
Operation modes:
• Fully automatic activation system.
• Electrical and manual activation modes.
• Self-activation of FPC solid compound at 300 o C.
Advantages:
Conditions
-No distribution piping, manifold or nozzles required
-Tremendous space and weight saving (no floor space or shoring up for weight required)
-No special handling for compressed gas cylinders required
-No system pressurization or room integrity tests required
-Subject to negligible maintenance cost
-Easy installation and retrofitted (without long and expensive stoppage of the activity on the premises during
installation)
-Operating temperatures ranging from -50 o C to +150 o C and with humidity of up to 98%
-Non pressurized containers can therefore be near or even in the fire without danger of exploding (in contrast to
other agents in pressurized containers that are subject to all the limits of pressure and temperature).
-Easily transported
-Easily connected to existing conventional fire detection and activation systems.
-Less maintenance during their life time than any other conventional system.
-Can be used in retrofit applications where it is extremely or not possible to install other systems that involve piping,
reservoirs etc.
-Offer local/source total flooding protection capability which combats and restricts fire at its source – thus limiting the
spread of fire – without the need to discharge a total flooding system.
1.The system is effective in a confined area. Therefore, all openings must be blocked.
2.The air circulation is being done by the Air Conditioning Unit and in an event of fire outbreak the AC unit will be
automatically “switched off” by the system during the evacuation period which is ‘preset’.
3.The system is designed to operate in the designated area only.
